The new “PisaMover” links the Airport to the Central Train Station

On March 18, 2017, a new electric rail service was opened connecting the Pisa Airport to the "Pisa Centrale" train station. The journey takes only 5 minutes and there are departures every 5-8 minutes, so it's an easy way to move back and forth. You pick it up at the old track 14 at the train station, and it drops you directly at the airport. It costs €2.70 (or just €1.20 on Sundays and holidays), and runs from 6 a.m. - midnight.
What's more, it makes an intermediate stop at a new 1,400-space parking lot, which means visitors coming to Pisa by car don't have to fight to find parking in the city center, and also people coming to the airport can leave their cars long-term while they're on holiday (it's about €30 for a week). The Pisa airport serves many low-cost carriers like RyanAir and EasyJet, and has become known as "the other Florence" airport, so this new service makes it even handier for international travelers.
